Our Relationship to Animals and Grief

As humans our relationship to animals is complex. Whether its a dog, cat, bird, lizard, snake or horse, its a different bond to those we share with human family and friends.

When we feel grief for the loss after the death of an animal, some people cannot understand how it can have such an emotional effect.

Sometimes we are comforted in our human loss by a companion animal in a wordless, intuitive and some might say, spiritual manner.

As practitioners, an understanding of the depth and meaning of human relationships with animals and the meaning of animal loss, can be extremely useful in connecting, even with the most difficult of clients.

Join counsellors Bianca Lavorgna and Kaye Griffin for our Discussion Group evening
